Brand Experience: It’s a Series of Systems

Great things are a series of small things brought together.

I saw this quote on Richard Branson’s LinkedIn feed the other day, and it immediately reminded me of how branding works.

Most things, including branding, cannot happen without a series of small things happening to create one large event or state of being. It is a system with lots of moving parts that make it one living, breathing, entity.

A brand is a series of systems put into place that create an experience.

This experience, becomes a relationship that you or a customer has with your business. A good or bad experience becomes the result of a smooth or broken brand system.

So, what’s the brand system? A series of small things brought together.

If even one of these is broken, it puts a wrench in the pipeline and can make things run inefficiently. An inefficient system means spending more money than needed. So, it’s important to continually check up on your brand “small things” in order to maintain one great, smoothly running, and cohesive brand.

What do you think? What is one small thing that amounted to your great brand? Was there a small thing that acted as a “wrench” in your brand system?

I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave your thoughts, comments, and feedback in the comments below.
